TPAS is a school with four houses, each with a unique emblem created by the students and a slogan that epitomizes their spirit. At enrolment, students are allocated to one of the houses, which provides a focus for group loyalty and friendly competition at sports and other events. Consequently, the houses offer an opportunity for camaraderie and a sense of belonging. Furthermore, the house system fosters pride and accomplishment, since each house strives to be the best.
At TPAS, four houses have been established, each with similar numbers of students depending on the total number of students attending the school. Inter-house events such as sports days, debating competitions, charity drives, and award of merit points help to foster competition and camaraderie. Additionally, a year-long programme of inter-house events is organized, with points from each event contributing to the final award of the House Cup at the end of the year.
Typically, students are randomly assigned to houses with the goal of creating balance and fostering competition. On occasion, this assignment is based on the student's social and emotional needs, allowing for proper peer mentoring to flourish. Additionally, younger siblings of currently enrolled students are automatically placed in the same house as their elder sibling. The Student Council ultimately appoints a House Captain after the elections, who is entrusted with limited authority and the responsibility of organizing the house.
