Sofija Filipovska

Dear TPAS families and fellow staff members, My name is Sofija Filipovska and I am so excited to introduce myself as the new IS PYP Coordinator at the TPAS. I am honored to have been selected to join the TPAS which is known far and wide for its dedication to excellence, but more importantly, to children. Over the past years, I have worked as a school principal, teacher and administrator, but I consider my most important job to be that of a child advocate. I will spend a lot of time making sure we implement the PYP program property, getting to know your personalities, learning styles and interests. I will celebrate our school's successes, small and large. I will encourage all of you every day and let you know you are valued and have a special place in our school community.

Not only am I excited to begin working with your children, but I look forward to the work we will do together. As the old African Proverb states, "It takes a village to raise a child." I am excited to see your children through your eyes. I cannot wait to share with you the great things they do throughout their days here at TPAS. And of course I will be here to work with you should they need any help navigating any aspect of the school day.

My goal is to ensure that all children are healthy, happy and safe, so they may learn as much as they can. This has been my philosophy since I began my career as an educator.

In addition to shared responsibility for student learning in the class to which I have been assigned, I as the PYP Coordinator am accountable together with the Head of School for the quality of the IS Primary Years Programme and am responsible for all PYP administrative procedures and other PYP-related issues as they arise to support this curriculum. I will try to move beyond advocacy to provide active and dynamic leadership and support. When necessary, the I will identify and report issues to the Head of School with expediency, and helps to resolve issues once identified. The leadership position provides significant opportunities for professional growth.

Once again, I am so thankful to have the opportunity to bring all that I have experienced and learned with me to your wonderful community. I look forward to getting to know you and your children.

Samna Ghulam

I am Samna Ghulam, I am honored, and it is my profound privilege to become a part of TPAS team as an Assistant PYP coordinator and K2 Homeroom, where the educational philosophy is based on the trilogy formed through a shared commitment between dedicated teachers, motivated students and enthusiastic parents with high expectations.

At The Peace Attitude Schools, we provide an atmosphere for our students to develop pursuance of the highest standards of Character and inculcate Moral Values, academic excellence, motivation, and empowerment to become lifelong learners, critical thinkers, creative and productive members of a challenging global society.

The school is striving hard to make the best possible efforts to inculcate strong values by combining academics and co-curricular activities in the children. No wonder, a student nurtured in such an atmosphere has every hope and possibility of becoming a responsible and a balanced citizen.
